Laura Mercier Matte Radiance Baked Bronzer in 02

Despite copious and regular application of sunblock as well as hats when I am outside for any long duration, I've managed to pick up some color on my face and body.  That's ok.  In addition to some needed vitamin D, I am looking relaxed... at least in body if not in spirit.  So how to enhance this tan?

I have not used a bronzer in a powder form in a long time.  Ten years ago, I've used up a Chanel bronzer and a few years back got rid of a Bobbi Brown one which was too pigmented and shimmery for my liking.

I saw Cafe Makeup's post on Laura Mercier Matte Radiance Highlighter and saw matte bronzers were released as well.  Intrigued, am I.  In addition to two new Caviar Sticks, I got the bronzer in 02.
Now I see clearly that "matte" is a bit of a misnomer.  There is a fine golden shimmer, sparse but evident in the product.
I've been using my Sonia Kashuk face brush in the black handle or my Tom Ford Bronzer brush to apply to my face.  I am really enamored with this color and product.  Enamored, am I!  Here are pictures of the bronzer built up into a swipe on the left and then brush and blended with my Tom Ford Bronzer brush on the right.
In the indirect light, you can see a sheen in the swatches which is from the shimmer.  It is not frosty or overly shimmery in my opinion.  When blended and buffed in, the effect on my face really is... well, radiant.  I guess while "matte" is a misnomer, "radiance" is entirely appropriate in the product name.
Here it is again in direct natural light.  I love the color, it is warm without being Oompa Loompa orange and with enough depth and no muddiness.  Laura Mercier describes the color as neutral warm which sounds a bit oxymoronic, but I agree.  It adds wonderful and natural looking color to my face and can also be built up to a bit more intensity.

It is silky and so light and I love how easy it is to blend in.  It looks completely like my own beautiful tan.  It lasted well during my workday, only fading away after 6 or so hours.
Only con, which is really a very small quibble is that it kicked up a bit of dust while I was picking up the color in the brush.  It's a whopping 7.5 grams of product.  I will write back in 10 years when I've used this up.  It does come in shades 01 through to 04.  As it initially goes on sheer, I think it's very forgiving on various skin tones.  For those around NC20 or so, 02 seems to be a beautiful natural shade for us.

Here it is on my face.  I may be a little extra glowing from the err... lady glow of summer, but most of the finish is really from the bronzer.  I should have put some on my neck and chest which look a bit pale compared to my fabulous bronzed face!  HAHA!
Do you use a bronzer?  What is your favorite bronzing product?  I've been missing out!
