News, Stuff and Stuff

Hello dere.  I keep on cranking up the cog- and toot-driven mechanism on the blog to write posts, but I seem to have very short attention span for anything requiring effort.  What a horrible trait for someone maintaining a shiny (new) blog.  In any case, I have been working on tracking down information on the new re-release of SUQQU S brush (in sets only.  sad face) so let me share with you what information I've been able to glean.  Here's also my recent post and review on the S Unicorn (here).

Availability

These sets are (trigger warning) UK Exclusive and available at Selfridges, Harrods and Fenwicks in stores and on line.

Official date is October 25th, but good chance they will be available earlier than that!

Reserving

They will not be using the on-line ordering process as they did for the Jorge Xmas UK Collection.

You can start reserving now.

You can call or email to reserve.  If you are in the UK, go ahead and call your local SUQQU counter, but for those of us from abroad can call the counter at Selfridges London: +44 (0) 20 7318 3956 or email: suqquuk@eqpuk.com

Shipping Tip

I found out recently that Selfridges.com now has a shipping subscription called Sefridges+, which allows for unlimited standard deliveries outside the UK with no minimum orders for an annual fee of $55.  There are some restrictions, including not having this applied during the end of year sales, but when a regular shipment to the US is $25, for someone making multiple orders like me, this is an excellent deal.  You can find this service come up as an option when you are in the checkout screen.  Actually, I just purchased the other two limited edition Creamy Glow shades and received them yesterday!

Anyway...

It is kind of a big bummer that the ONE brush every one is looking for is only available in a set.  You can pay exorbitantly high prices by bidding on Yahoo Japan auctions as I did.  It is possible that if the demand is big for the sets and more people clamor for these brushes to be available as individual ones that the brand might release them that way.  But considering how long that even these sets took to come back, I wouldn't bet my brush stash on that, you know? I'm also kind of bummed that the eyeshadow M brush isn't in the eye set!  I mean, THAT is an awesome brush.

Another whine from a very annoying perspective is the little screw brush.  WAHHHH!  I really really want that brush.  For a GWP item, I really wish it were in the eye kit.  I feel like my life would be SO COMPLETE with a SCREW.  IT WOULD COMPLETE ME. <---deranged.

STUFF and STUFF

I've been experiencing a SURGE of teh BUY EVERYTHING feeling.  I don't know if it's all the stress I've been feeling or what.  I have a few goodies in transit from Japan, but I've been spending a lot of time at Sephora and been recently to Bergdorf Goodman.

I'd been interested in the various liquid lipsticks from Cle de Peau, Nars and Chanel.  Probably in the old days, I would have purchased a few specimens from each brand and written up a big post on a comparison of each.  When I actually played with each of them, I wasn't particularly in love with anything.  The only thing that stood out for me were the Nars.  Maybe that will be a good treat later in the year.

There's something about getting to see and play in person that mostly kills any need to purchase for me.  Does this happen to you?  I went to the Tom Ford counter and got major hard sell (it's going to "SELL OUT IN AN INSTANT") on the cool and warm versions of the holiday palette.  They were beautiful things and all, but I had major flashback moments to doing endless runs to the post office for blog sales!  Arrrrgh!

I was fortunate also that I couldn't find the Holiday Guerlain collection in person.  And also that seeing the Estee Lauder Victoria Beckman collection didn't do anything for me when I saw it either!

Only thing I'm super duper tempted by is the new Diptyque Essences Insensees Rose de Mai fragrance.  It hit me in the gut, but thinking about spending $180 seems a little spendy.

Anyway, hope each of you are having a good week.  Wednesday is Hump Day.  Does this mean it is all down hill from here?
