SUQQU Face Designing Concealer - Highlighters & Correctors
Lest you think all my SUQQU-related product posts are all freebies and my opinions are suspect... :P
Here I offer up some ample evidence of a full-on SUQQU spending ... er habit:
Today I thought I'd share with you some real work horses for me. They are the Face Designing Concealers. They are called "concealers," they are actually a customize-able palette of concealers, correctors and highlighters. The case is sold separately into which you can select and put in little squares of product. They are refillable, which is handy.
I use the concealing & correcting products every day (as you can see from the pans!). For under eyes, it has some of the nicest and lightest textures that can be blended and patted into a most imperceptible finish. It also has a bit of emollience which makes it unlikely to turn caked and dry looking.
The cream highlighters are beautifully refined. They meld beautifully with my base products so that it really looks like I have natural glow emanating from my skin. (Because I am always radiantly rested and have perfectly impeccable and glowing skin! Yep. ;) )
The "flesh" toned ones are correctors and concealers. The correctors are creamy and lightweight and have a medium pigmentation. The shade N-01 that I've been using (the almost empty pan in the above photo) is what I like for my under eyes. It has enough coverage to tamp down my dark circles (which are not too terrible, honestly). For being the lightest shade, it is dark, but I prefer darker (rather than lighter) concealers for under eyes because I don't like the reverse panda effect of too light shading.
The Concealers are ocher-toned shades and I have the lightest one C-01. It's much more pigmented than the Corrector shades and enough to cover pigmentation spots and the occasional zits. But a drawback is that because the formula is so light and hydrating, it has a tendency to fade after a few hours. When I set with powder, I need to practice a light hand with the setting, because the very act of pressing a puff will often dislodge the concealer from the skin.
I originally only had the H-02 Pearl Beige highlighter. But I loved the idea of having a complete trio (thanks to Nicole's smart idea from Swatcharama)! Look how handy and travel convenient!
Of the highlighting shades, H-01 Clear White is a shimmer free cream white. H-02 Pearl Beige is a neutral beige with a fine warm golden shimmer. H-03 Pearl Pink is a neutral pink with fine light pink and silver shimmer.
Here are swatches of everything heavily applied. N-01 is very "beige" for my yellow skin, but does a good bit of heavy lifting counteracting the darkness under my eyes. C-01 does look awfully dark and it is. I need to use only a very little bit, or the color looks very obvious on my face. I'm around MAC C1 / NC 20 these days. I think those fairer than me would find these shades way too dark for you.
And the highlighters. Here they are. The white is something I'm trying to figure out how to use and I'm only used to shimmer-based highlighting product. It does make a nice bridge of nose highlight, though. The H-02 and H-03 are gorgeous! This is very heavily applied, but when dabbed lightly with fingertips to warm the product and blended, it looks like beautiful glowing skin.
I love these things! Kind of mundane things and not all that glamorous as an eye shadow or a great bright lipstick, but very well-used so they were deserving of a little blog air time.
