SUQQU Blend Color Eye Shadow in EX-29 Koukiori
>> This post features product that was provided without charge by the brand / pr for my consideration <<
I had recently posted a little makeup-of-the-day photo on Instagram that had this quad featured, EX-29 Koukiori. This was available only at the Shinjuku Isetan in Tokyo as an exclusive for about just a moment and then made available in the UK a few months later for just a blink of an eye. I'd not had a chance to post this earlier because by the time I posted some other products, this was long gone from the UK counters. I apologize for that or maybe I should be even more sorry to post this at all so late! But I was asked if I had an eye-of-the-day type photo to post and then dug out a bunch of other photos I had taken months ago and thought I might as well post it on the blog. (It's only a few months late, right? What a terrible blogger!)
This quad, Koukiori is more in line with the palettes from the recent two or three years, which are all shimmer in finish and also with a split pan of the two darker shades.
Among the 5-color formats, I like the very coolness of the shades of this palette very much. Despite being three pale shades, they each have pretty strong pigmentation that you can discern one shade from the other.
I mean, gosh, if you are into shimmery (without being over the top) finishes in your eye shadows, I mean GOSH LOOK AT THAT.
Here's an old look that I dug up. The silver grey has larger shimmer particles, so I find using too much is not to my taste. But using a large fluffy brush like SUQQU L and brushing over the whole mobile lid OR just sweeping up from the inner corners is my more preferred use of this shade.
The split pan shades make for an easy, very sophisticated smoky eye look that gradates beautifully with especially the pink shade.
Unfortunately, this palette is long gone. I don't like the idea of counter exclusives and I wish some of these items had more of a chance to be purchased when they do make it to online!
Were you able to purchase limited edition EX-29 Koukiori while it was out in Tokyo or in the UK?
